Where It All Began

Stephen and Jason experienced the same problem at the same time: they wanted to spend a month remote working from abroad with their partners, but the cost of accommodation was prohibitively expensive. They turned to a popular home booking website and saw that the average price for a month in cities like Marseille or Naples was more than €2500. Jason's wife also had reservations about the work station standards!

Even though their employers were progressive enough to allow them the flexibility to spend short term trips abroad, they couldn't actually take advantage of this freedom due to the high costs of accommodation.

It was a heartbreaking realisation, as they had previously elected to prioritise career progression over travel experience. But with the rise of remote work, they believed they finally had the opportunity to combine the two. That is, until they saw the price of accommodation and their dream was crushed.

A Mission to Make Remote Work Better

Having been introduced through Y Combinator and determined to find a solution, they joined forces to do something about it. They are on a mission to make this type of lifestyle attainable for all remote-capable employees, knowing that accommodation costs were the final obstacle standing in the way of the perfect work-life balance. So, they have created a platform that connects coworkers to house swap, host and socialise removing the cost constraint and making it possible for employees to work and travel.

When colleagues are roamring in different cities, they should have the opportunity to connect with their geographically dispersed colleagues, both to work and socialise. By building these connections, companies can foster a thriving company culture where remote employees feel like "this is where I should be."
